Supfen Shipping Units

I recently placed a club order with superior fencing and there were issues around splitting the cost of shipping fairly amongst the group. As such, for future orders I have proposed SSUs (Supfen Shipping Units), a metric by which an order can be split into components based on the likely cost of shipping to more fairly split the cost in a group order. Please first exclude GST portion from shipping costs if the order is over your country’s import tax threshold, and then divide the remainder by the total SSUs of the order and then reallocate based on each person’s portion of the order. The SSU is an approximated unit with a SF standard jacket being 5 units and all other items SSU value being calculated on the amount of space it takes up in shipping compared to an SF Standard jacket.

I hope this will help lead to fairer splitting of shipping costs amongst other clubs and group orders as well.
